Yes one point I wanted to make here (not sure I actually said it in so many words) is like you say most of the popularity of these things comes from the idea of being popular rather than from the quality of the books themselves. I hear a lot of people say they liked Harry Potter (including friends and my boyfriend), which is why I might read it, just because it sounds like it might be good. thanks for your comment!ShadowCutterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02014600440173745969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126298787176712454.post-63078311681452602752010-04-24T05:03:16.340-07:002010-04-24T05:03:16.340-07:00I really enjoyed your post and I agree with you ab...I really enjoyed your post and I agree with you about trends, although I read both Harry Potter (I wrote my MA thesis about it) and Twilight. I have to say I enjoyed HP, but not the latter. And both were blown out of proportion because of all the hype surrounding them that had little to do with the books themselves. It's all about marketing and that's what I dislike in trends.Brigitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16607138790967163456noreply@blogger.com
